Creating an SSH Key

KS / KS 5000U / KSi 5008U

Note:

SSH keys must be used with cloud-init. If no user is specified in the cloud-config, the cloud-config will configure the SSH key under the default user in the virtual machine image. Cloud-config is used to automatically configure a script and settings when starting a virtual machine, including user information, network configuration, etc. For more information, see Setting up a Cloud-Init for a Virtual Machine.

To create and save an SSH key on EonKube, follow the procedure below.

Procedure

  1. Go to EonKube > Virtualization > SSH Keys.
  2. Click Create.
  3. If an SSH key has been created on your local computer, to import the key, click Read from file. Or paste the SSH Key into the SSH Key field.
  4. Click Create to complete process.
